Klingonistan (Klingon: Tlhinganistan), officially known as the Republic of Klingonistan (Klingon: Republika Tlhinganistan) is an official state of the Klingon people, located in Central Asia. It was founded in the 9th century as the Klingon Empire by Kahless the Unforgettable, who first united the Klingon kingdoms under the influence of the Kingdom of Qo'noS. Since then, the Klingon Empire expanded its sphere of influence by conquering its nearby lands and incorporating them, and even reached to the Caspian Sea, and the Indian Ocean before falling under the hands of the Qing dynasty in the middle of the mid-19th century. This made Klingonistan a major power in Asia.
Not long after, it also became the Klingon Governorate in the Russian Empire via purchase, then became the Klingon Khanate shortly after the Russian Revolution, then soon, the Klingoni SSR, and then in 1991, it became the Republic of Klingonistan.
Today, it is as rich as OTL Kazakhstan due to its oil industry.
