A Chinese climing dragon (Epidexipteryx) is a species of formerly extinct small flightless pigeon-sized non-avian theropod dinosaur part of the Scansoriopterygidae family, which also includes the Chinese flying dragon, and was also brought back from the Jurassic China and introduced accidentally to Holocene Eurasia and North America. It has a very short tail which consists of four long tail feathers, but unlike birds and like that of the Chinese flying dragon's, its tail feathers are not branched into individual filaments but make up of a single ribbon-like sheet. Its body is covered in simple body feathers as opposed to more advanced feathers as in Troodonts (modern and prehistoric) and birds. This species is also named for its ability to climb up trees and buildings in a fashion similar to squirrels, using its long and clawed fingers for climbing and even to drill through holes in search for insects and even fruits, seeds, and nuts, making this species an omnivore.
